Patiently waiting for more people to bring up the fact that the way Grindelwald was using seduction and affection to manipulate Credence was probably very close to what he used on Dumbledore as well, if only more explicitly affectionate and explicitly seductive in Albus’ case. The parallels struck me very hard as I was watching Fantastic Beasts, and I couldn’t help but imagine Albus in a similar situation to Credence, just on a more equal footing with Grindelwald.
